Mom and Dad (and Adam),
Sorry but I can't open my e-mail here, and so I thought I would just write you a quick blog. I love you and miss you so much, but things are great here. The Lord provided for my need for rough living and I am one of 7 living in a tent here in Swazi. I got to see Boy Boy!!! And I have had an amazing time. I also ran into several other people that I knew from before, and they have blessed me greatly! Team living is always interesting but I am actually showering! I hope that Auburn is great, and want to here all about it. I think I will buy a phone next week in SA so that you all can call me on my off days. I will send you the number then. Um... so is it true that Auburn beat Florida... I heard a rumor? Well, I think God just really loves me! I think I will be able to check my e-mail in South Africa, but I didn't reply this week because I can't open it. Mom, could you send Chandler's mom two prayer cards? Ahhh... internet is crazy! I love you and that's all I can think to say. OH, and Dad Happy 55th Birthday a few days early! I hope that you have a great day... go buy a cheaper movie ticket! Love Sweet Milk and the rest of them for me, and make sure to cheer really hard for Auburn!
All my love,
Carrie
UPDATE!
So this is going to be short this week and probably random, but the Lord has been amazing this week. He has been teaching me so much about his character and heart and has been revealing to me more about my identity in Him. He has especially spoken into me about the gifts of intercessory prayer and leadership, and has challenged me to step up into them in a new and powerful way. He has also reminded me that ministry doesn't end at 5 (or whatever), but includes blessing your team and those around you. I am so excited to see how he moves! I got to visit Boy Boy (a little boy from my past trip to Swaziland), and it blessed me greatly! I also got to minister in the hospital and it just reminded me again that the Lord has given me a passion to bless and care for the sick! I wish I knew what else to write, but for now I have to just testify that our Lord is big and powerful and is love! I am so blessed and amazed at what he has called me to! I apologize for the nature of these updates, but as we say, "T.I.A.": This is Africa. I thank you all so much for your prayers and support, and ask that you continue to keep us all in your prayers. Please pray against any sickness and fatigue and that we would just rely on the Lord for all our needs. The Lord has blessed me with good health and I praise Him for it. Also please pray for discernment as we will soon begin the process of discerning which location we will be at in the Spring. You are in my prayers!
Blessings, Carrie
