Hello Everyone,
I have been spending this week trying to find the right internship for the time I will be spending here. I really wanted to do something around health care, but didn't know anyone. So I started e-mailing and talking to everyone I could think of. It has been interesting and has required trusting the Lord. I had a peace about pursuing this ministry opportunity, but also wanted to get started. And yesterday, the Lord began to open doors. I had received the name of a nurse with Children's Cup, who works with various clinics. I called her, and she has invited me to work with her. So next Tuesday, I will be going with her to see a clinic in Manzini. God worked out the details of transportation too, as I can't get to Manzini, but because she lives in Mbabane (a nearby city), I can ride with her. This would only be two days a week, but I am excited to see where the Lord will lead me for the rest of my time. We also finally got water and electricity in our house, and are all clean and ready to get going. Last night, we also had dinner with the original Swazi FYM team, and then had family worship. It was a wonderful night, and we are all getting excited about what is in store for us. Another possibility is a trip to Mozambique, but I will send more information about that if it is confirmed. Thank you so much for your prayers! They are moving mountains! Please continue to pray for all of us as we seek the Lord's will for our time here. The Lord is opening incredible doors for my team, but pray that we will all get settled in soon, and ready to run! Please pray for the Swazi people, for their hearts to be receptive and ready to get deeper with the Lord. Also pray for this team as we try to make every moment count, pray that we will have spiritual eyes to see the things the Lord is doing, so that we can join Him in them. Your support means so much to me! Please let me know how things are going at home, as I would be blessed to keep you in my prayers!
by grace,
Carrie
